Abington Manor became a museum in 1899 and, following a complete restoration in 1994, now houses displays of the Northamptonshire Regiment, local history, and changing exhibits of clothing from its costume collection, as well as displays of leather objects and artifacts from around the world from the collections of the Museum of Leathercraft. |

Abington Manor, now Abington Park Museum, was built at the turn of the 16th century. Between 1845 and 1892 it was used as a lunatic asylum. In 1892 the manor and the grounds were donated to Northampton by Lady Wantage. |
