Actually it was the old Midland Bank Limited in which I had my first job after leaving school in 1966! It is, indeed, now an Indian Restaurant |

This shows the road layout prior to the wartime demolition after bomb damage of the Congregational Church in 1944 - the site was later used to push the new road, Broadmead Road, through and the northern part of the site was used for the Sir James Hawkey Hall. |
