This is Heaviley Sunday School on the corner of Buxton Road (A6) & Nangreave Road. John Brian, Betty, Vivienne Grace & Anthony Paul Howarth lived in the "house" converted from the lower right corner of the building from approximately 1953 to 1957. Heaviley Sunday School was a branch of the Methodist Stockport Sunday School

Squirrel Confectionery, later Squirrel Horn, famous for their Floral Gums and Cherry Lips, went on to move to Scotland. Their sweets are still on sale but made by Tangerine Confectionery in Poole, Dorset.

This stub is now Nangreave Road leading to Marple Road. This image shows why it takes an odd jag to the right near the start.

St George's Church, Stockport. Built by a local official when the nearby St Thomas Church Stockport would not baptise him. This magnificent church is not Stockport Parish Church as some assume (that is the ancient St Mary's). As this is on the South side of the Mersey it is under Chester diocese.
