Henrietta Street. Laid out in 1729 by Luke Gardiner and completed c. 1755. Considered the first planned Georgian street in the city. In the 18th century lived in by the ruling elite including the Speaker of the House of Commons, Primate of All Ireland, and Lord Chancellor of Ireland. By 1880s the street was converted almost entirely, and at once, to tenements. By 1901, it was occupied by over 800 impoverished souls.
