This pub belonged to my Great grandfather his name was Richard Jones.He also owed the garage which was next door,I can remember going visiting The King David when I was small in the 50 's from my home town of Birmingham .

the photo of ebbw vale is of brynmawr. brynmawr was in the county of brecon then monmouth then gwent the post office then decided to put brynmawr in the ebbw vale post code that is why all the photos of brynmawr come up as ebbw vale.well done the post office

This is an image of Brynmawr.The Merthyr to Abergavenny Railway line runs from the bottom left of the picture and diappears to wards Abegavenny down the Clydach Gorge to the top of the page.The Great Western line from Brynmawr to Aberbeeg and Newport also leaves the shot at the bottom right.The LNWR line to Blaenavon goes off to the right where the image is damaged.

This is the Wefare park, Brynmawr, looking east to Clydach Gorge,I can see my geat uncles pub and workshop, "the King David" The houses in the foreground were built in the mid 50's, as a child I lived in Lansbury road which is just out of shot.
