For the record the line through the Morlais Tunnel was owned by the London & North Western Railway which joined with the Brecon & Merthyr line from Pontsticill Junction at Morlais Junction from whence the line was the B&M and LNWR Joint line towards Cefn Coed and Merthyr.

Showing the LNWR and B&M Joint Line as in comes out of the Morlais Tunnel into the Taf Fechan Valley. At far left is the line diverges for Ponsticill.

Also in shot is the signal box contoling the juction for the B&M line up to Ponsticill.

Pant Station is seen to the mid upper left of picture where the B&M line divides to the right for Dowlais Central and to the left for Dowlais Top and the journey on down to Newport
