A large electricity sub station now occupies these fields - or did in 1980. The railway has been dismantled |

One of my favourite photos in the collection. I would love to visit the area and see what has changed. It's a bit far from where I live in Wiltshire. |

So I finally managed to make the trip to Legacy. The railway has largely gone apart from the Station House which I did not photograph. The water works have gained a water tower and lost a reservoir. There is now a large National Power electrical sub station to the north. A very satisfactory visit. |

A wonderful view absolutely full of interest. I can positively identify this shot as Legacy Railway Station GWR. Two miles West of Rhostyllen, Wrexham. View is taken looking West over the legacy Railway Station. In the foreground are the two road junctions. Bronwylfa Road leads up the centre of the photo towards Frondeg Hall to the right. In the distance to the left is Bronwylfa Hall. A fantastic shot which repays examination. We thought that we had a motte in the left foreground but we now think it is a reservoir. Is it a mill with a mill pond at the bottom right? I think so. Thank you for making this available |
