This drainage channel is very distinctive - fairly straight as it drains into the Great Pill which is turning from west to north. This part of the estuary is known as the Landimore Marsh. The tree lined cliff is about 200ft high and judging by the shadows the photo was taken just after noon looking north. Google Earth shows the field pattern has only changed slightly. The long field next to the cliff has been amalgamated with right hand field running south. On the phto it can be seen totally ploughed over. |
