Here, or hereabouts, in Peris Avenue (?), was a small, private caravan site called 'Cosy Corner', with only about eight or ten caravans. My parents had a small caravan permanently sited here for a few years in the early 1960s. I recall it had gas lighting, and was given the name 'Duncaster', a combination of my parents' family names. |

The Foryd Bridge, crossing the river Clwyd at Rhyl, was opened in 1932. The bowstring girders provide the strength for the deck to cross the river in two spans, which rest on a central pier. It was often referred to as 'The Blue Bridge'.

Coventry Co-op Camp. The lettering can just about be made out on the roof of the shed. I had many a happy family camping holiday here in the 1950/60s. I recall having the tent ripped apart in the middle of the night on one occasion, due to a gale. |
