The B4500 ordinarily had the Glyn Valley Tramway running along side it for most of its length. At the time this picture was taken the tramway was closed. It would have been on the far side of the road.

It was here at Castle mill that the Glyn Valley Tramway had a siding running up this road to the Bronygarth lime kilns.
