Well worth reading the remarkable tale of her six months long maiden voyage from her builders, A. & J. Inglis, Pointhouse, Glasgow (also builders of her eventual replacement, 'Maid of the Loch', and now site of the Riverside Museum) to Balloch in 1911 at:
