 Easterhouse, 2 Durno Path, foundations laid. This large housing estate was built without a school or even a shop, my now deceased mum-in-law moved into this brand new house with her two daughters 8 and 1 years old. The older girl had to attend school in Parkhead 8 1/2 miles away, and mum had to bus it to Shettleston for the messages. |
