Italian Chapel
Built by Italian POW's during WW2 and still standing as a memorial to their faith.
They had requested somewhere to use as a church and were allocated a Nissen Hut, which they decorated using materials that were to hand - plaster board, concrete and metal salvaged from the block ships. |
