This is the A34 going through Monkspath running up to Birmingham. I got this one by realising this area must now be developed. The landscape appeared to be the midlands so I used the 1945 image on Google earth and found it with my first look. |

I have invested some time into this series of photos, with few results. We can see quite a large area of middle England which has a main road but no railways. We are an urban fringe area. There is evidence of new housing at the top right with roads constructed before the houses have been built. I think that I can make out a bus or tram depot towards the top of the photo which makes me think that there is a city out of shot to the top of the photo. One day I hope to be inspired to locate these images. |
