Called a "sector plate" allowing wagons to be placed on from any one of three tracks and moved over to one of the other two. Certainly no provision of turning them around, so not a "turntable".

Mitchell Shackleton and Co. The company was formed in 1907. By 1920 it was one of the leading suppliers of crankshafts. In the 1930s it was also producing machine-made forgings and stampings, primarily for the automotive industry [Source: Grace's Guide]
