Tring was one of a number of new bus garages built in the mid 1930s by London Transport for their Country and Green Line Division. Others included St Albans, Hertford and Amersham. They were designed in the latest art deco architectural style and built of brick. Tring was one of LT's smaller garages with about 17 buses and coaches stationed there. It closed in 1977. |
