Botley Road is the main arterial road into Oxford from the west and the site has been redeveloped. What is here in 2013/

As now..The allotments opposite side, adjacent to the road have all been built on.

William Baker(to the right)was a successful furniture manufacturer, and was a major supplier to the university..A very swanky showroom(William Baker House)opened in 1915,and is now occupied by Waterstones,in Broad Street.City Motors eventually took over the entire site, moving from there in the early 80s,it is now occupied by PC World, and Carpetright..The street to the left is Earl Street, the pair of white semis opposite Bakers are still there,a large chunk of the allotments have been built on,as has the area beyond the far boundary..the houses on the left facing onto Botley Road are largely unchanged.
