Excellent spot Max, that shed with the curved road was a clincher. Also that line of 8 houses going down Station Road were quite distinctive. The aircraft used to belong to the Northern Aviation Company which went bust and linked up with Sir Alan Cobham's National Aviation Display team in 1933. EPW040991 shows the aircraft on the ground at Heston. A report in the newspapers said the visit to Heston was on 12 April 1933 and presumably EPW040990, EPW040989 and EPW040988 show the aircraft en-route to Heston. I had started looking around Osterley Park as there was a lot of open ground in the background; I don't think I would have found the exact location in a month of Sundays. Well done. |

Thanks Mike it took awhile of scanning to match the pattern and Cranford - Heston - Hayes - Osterley seemed the most likely areas. Check the other one you pointed to with the parachute descent, I found a possible for that. |
