The film, Hells Angels disappeared for many years until one day in the early 1970's at RAE Farnborough, a member of the Aeronautical Society managed to unearth a copy and arranged a viewing for RAE and NGTE personnel. Tickets sold like hot cakes. The dog-fight sequences were much appreciated but the dialogue left much to be desired. Ben Lyons' doom laden "Someone always gets it on the dawn patrol" brought the house down. As for the ubiquitous mountains in the background, you'd be a long time searching for those on the Western Front. |
