Seems little changed when I did some survey work here in 1976, we had meals in a wartime Nissen hut with wickerwork chairs,(as we did at Stanstead) there was a floral clock out front and putting course despite the M4 going thru, The entrance hall had a huge pic of Chamberlain and "Peace in our time" the CAA used the old pilots quarters complete with bedrooms and WC's as offices, of course 2 years later it was all scat! |
