This is actually a remainder of Higgin Lane,later to be called Barton Rd and Barton Dock Rd joined to it at the junction with Mosely Rd.

The Courtaulds Trafford Park site was for the manufacture of sulphuric acid, a vital product in the manufacture of viscose fibres, the main business of Courtaulds.
