This group of rocks is better known as the "Cow and Calf" and is on the edge of Rombalds Moor, and is visible on the skyline from all over Ilkley. The climbers are standing on the Cow and the Calf is the separate gock visible, bottom right. Still a magnet for rock climbers and tourists today. |

I gather from a local chap the Cow & Calf were, at one time, known as The Ilkley Lions. |
