EG Wrigley, makers of car components and the Wrigley cyclecar went into receivership in 1923 and their works in Foundry Lane, were bought by William Morris so that he could set up Morris Commercial Cars. They were mainly involved in producing commercial vehicles but some cars were built here.

The EG Wrigley works in Foundry Lane, Smethwick. By 1924 they were occupied by Morris Commercial.
