Stockport branch of the Ashton Canal. To the left Ashton under Lyne. Terminates to the right near Nelstrop Flour Mill on Lancashire Hill. Built about 1797. Filling in of the canal commenced 1962 and there is little to see today. Buildings on the canal line prevent it reopening here.
