The present hall, half-timbered in the Cheshire style, is 14th century. It is Grade 1 listed. |

This is not Baguley Hall but its farmyard, now on the west side of Hall Lane. |

Interesting to read your intriguing detail - you obviously remember the hall as a working farm, whereas Hall Lane was already built up by the time I first remember it - and the hall was looking pretty derelict, used as a base and for storage, if I remember rightly, by Manchester City Council Housing and Direct Works staff. Good to see it in much better shape now. My memories of old Baguley are confined to the west end, on the borders of Timperley; I can - just! - remember when the area west of Floats Road, where Tesco is now, was still rural. |
