This is the Culverden Golf Course not the Spa Course which is about a mile to the south/southwest of the pic. The winding road to the right is Lake Road with the now gone Warberry House,gardens and lake extreme right. A large part of the course was used for growing vegetables during WW2. After the war the course closed and is now the Connisten Avenue housing estate. |
