Construction of Grange Road. With the advent of increased vehicular traffic, West Kirby council bought Abbey House estate in 1924. Hilbre View was then constructed in order to bypass the blind bend (which is now classed as Grange Old Road).

For the record that comment is not correct. It closed to passengers in 1956 .Beeching was in 1962. Such a pity though.
