This huge oak has a preservation order on it. Sadly it is slowly rotting and has had to have the crown greatly reduced this year (2014). |

The Penzer Beech has gone c2011, from the corner of Bittel & Hewell Rds, from Decades of People posting their notices on the tree. I remember Granpa always telling them off! Thus after decades of abuse, they killed it! It was a preservation tree... The only Tree left, is a Silver Birch, @ the end of Orchard drive. Grandpa planted it c1965 = Ahhh Happy Poplar Days, all gone now, but one still remembers the Happy days spent there. Where Mum was born & her Cats. :) |

A lovely Spring day, judging by the fruit trees in bloom in gardens bottom left and all the washing on lines. |
