Second coach appears to be a LNWR full brake still in LNWR livery and good condition some three years after the Grouping. |

The Girl Guide Hut has been demolished and there is permission to build a house on this site. The Guides share a hut with the Scouts in a new building off the Blackwell Road. |

The Penzer Beech has gone c2011, from the corner of Bittel & Hewell Rds, from Decades of People posting their notices on the tree. I remember Granpa always telling them off! Thus after decades of abuse, they killed it! It was a preservation tree... The only Tree left, is a Silver Birch, @ the end of Orchard drive. Grandpa planted it c1965 = Ahhh Happy Poplar Days, all gone now, but one still remembers the Happy days spent there. Where Mum was born & her Cats. :) |

My Grandparents would be horrified to see whats been built on the former "The Poplars Estate" Pre 1968, corner of Hewell & Bittel Rds = Happy days spent there in the Summer Holidays in the 60's! RIP |

A lovely Spring day, judging by the fruit trees in bloom in gardens bottom left and all the washing on lines. |
