I know this is The ship yard on the eastern end of Mistley Quay.

If you look at the other pictures of Mistley you can see part of this scene on the right side of the picture titled "Free Rodwell and Co. Malthouses and the Harwich Branch Railway, Mistley, 1927". I think it might have been owed by the Horlock family who worked in the area for many generations.

This photo is published as Plate 70 in Mistleyman's Log by AH & RJ Horlock (Fisher Nautical Press - out of print). The caption reads "Two barges being built at Mistley in FW Horlock's yard in 1923" The barge on the slip is a sprit rigged Thames sailing barge
