More details on the monument can be seen at www.kew.org/visit-kew-gardens/garden-attractions-A-Z/temple-of-arethusa.htm. Inside the temple is a war memorial to the workers of Kew that lost their lives in the two World Wars. One of them is John Divers, my first cousin twice removed, of the 25th London Cyclists' Regiment. Details of the Cyclists' Regiment can be seen at www.25thlondon.com. |

Museum Number 1.
Actually the second museum. The first was too small and when the second was built (1857), the first museum became Museum No 2 whilst the new museum became Museum No 1.
