The second Uncle Tom's Cabin. The original was on the opposite side of the road, on the cliff tops, ans was demolished after it stared to fall into the sea due to coastal erosion. |

This is NOT the Miner's Home. It is The Imperial Hotel. The Miner's Home is in Bispham, located just south of Cavendish Road, heading North, you'll see it on your right before you get to the end of the Illuminations at Red Bank Road. |

The location of Uncle Tom's Cabin. Opposite, on the cliff top, a lift was constructed which carried holiday makers down to the Boating Pool (still to be built at the time this photo was taken). |

This garden area was later chosen as the location for the Derby Swimming Baths. It hosted many International swimming competitions and had, to me, a truly frightening high diving board. Sadly, it has now been demolished. |

I wonder if this isn't the Imperial Hotel? I think the Miner's Home was further north, nearer Bispham / Norbreck. |
