The Wheatsheaf Public House (Long Gone)

The Shamrock Public House (The Little Shammy) KWK Engineering was built on this site,around the Pub. But after many years the Shammy was demolished.

On this site was built The Pilot Public House it is now a block of flats.

This was Our Lady's Primary School,post war until about the 90s?? when it became Kilgarth School.

Pre Fabs constructed after WW 2 aerial bombings demolished the majority of the area. (Neston Gardens now occupies the site, between Cavendish St and Duke St.)

The field between Payson Street and St Anne's Street. In 1953 I attended a street party held on that field to celebrate the queen's coronation. At all other times, the field became either Wembley or Lords, depending on the time of the year.
