Turret House and hardstand - A building in which up to four aircraft gun turrets mounted on wheeled trollies with engine driven generators and hydraulic pump could be stored. When required for use the turrets would be wheeled out onto the hardstanding and manned by trainee air gunners who would shoot at the moving target.

Target Control House - This was located at the far end of the Moving Target Range and was used to launch and recover target trollies. A set of points adjacent to the Target House could be switched to diver a target trolley from the oval track and into the target house for target marking, repair or replacement during which a serviceable traget would be launched. The building was constructed of reinforced concrete to protect personnel within from stray bullets.

One of only eighteen 200 yard Moving Target Ranges built during WW2 to practice RAF Air Gunners in the skill of deflection shooting. A motorised trolley on which was erected a 3 dimensional model aircraft drove around an oval narrow gauge rail track. It was obscured by an earth bank built around the outside of the track and was visible only above the bank some 200 yards forward of the Turret House (see separate PIN) when a gunner could open fire.
