Goods loop between Langley and West Drayton, which also served as access to a number of industries on the north side of the GWR main line. What a sensible arrangement to facilitate direct access to industrial traffic and one which has almost been totally lost in the UK ... but not across much of Europe, where many industries are still rail connected. |

This factory was started by Alfred Ellis, who died young and his son Alfred Ellis, jr. took over as Chairman and Managing Director. It was a hugely successful firm, the largest of its kind in Britain until it was sold to a Dutch Company in the 80's. |
