Uralite Halt on the Hundred of Hoo railway. Opened in July 1906, it closed in December 1961. A new halt, Hoo Junction Staff Halt, was constructed to the west and on the mainline to replace it.

Two emplacements for 12 pounder quick firing guns built in 1913. Used for two 5.5 inch naval guns during WW2. These emplacements were built as Shornemead Fort could not be used as a gun battery as it was structurally unsound due to subsidence.

Shornemead Fort looking remarkably intact. The buildings at the back of the fort were destroyed during the 1950s in explosives training exercises by the Army.

Two gun emplacements built in 1913 east of Shornemead Fort, which due to subsidence could no longer be used. These two emplacements each housed a 5.5 inch naval gun during WW2
