And very good they were too, for the hard-up young motorist in those days. I had them fitted to my souped-up Mini in 1961. All went well for a couple of thousand miles then one threw its tread but it did remain inflated. The dealer replaced it F.O.C. but made some cutting remarks about mad boy-racers, punctuated with lots of Anglo-Saxon adjectives. |
