This is now Welman road. Railway from Altrincham goods yard ran along Moss lane, then ran down here, and in front of the still extant prefabs (now faced with brick effect panels) and along Urban (Welman) road into the gas works. Google Earth has a yr. 2000 image of the gas works site when demolition was almost complete, but is good for spotting this loacation accurately. |
