Originally the houses along Holme Church Lane were a continuous line from the church to here. This middle section would have been demolished between the 1930s and the date of this image. My father rented one of the ramshackle garages set back from the road here.

This small terrace still stands on the corner of Potter Hill and St. Nicholas Road but those across from them and the small farm were cleared to make way for new houses in the 1970s.
