scotswood, was a great community, i remember all the changes from the mid 50s, delaval road where half the row of terraces were demolished up to blackburns shop, and whitehouse road was extended through to atkinson road, does anyone remember the stairs to cross whitehouse road, but take a look at the size of the gardens all these houses had, especially the council houses, and compare the plots in the new scotswood village,its sad to see all the changes, this photo is brilliant, |
