I have been remembering a day in 1970 when I went on a railway mystery trip from Aberdare which ended up in Birmingham. As a railway enthusiast I remember having a look round Saltley depot and Bescot before travelling to Walsall for a trip to Bloxwich on a trolleybus. By this time there were few trolleybus systems left in Britain. Unfortunately I didn't have a camera. The power station would have loomed large on the trip from Walsall to Bloxwich and back. Happy Days. |
