Nice spotting!... but it is actually a Junkers JU290... note the squarer vertical stabilisers. The JU90's had a much more pronounced curve on the leading edges. |

Looks like a jet - is it a De Havilland Comet 1, the first of which had an initial flight on 27 July 1949 |
