| This strip of land was used for Whippet racing on a Sunday morning.Wether this was legal or not,I do not know, but while I was train spotting, the crowds would appear, gamble ,run the dogs and disappear, within say an hour. | boltie | Sunday 6th of July 2014 02:09:03 AM |

| Derelict land by Lumms Lane. This was an environmental nightmare in the 60s, it's largely prettified now- but beware of what lies beneath. | Maitland | Saturday 18th of January 2014 01:05:45 AM |

| recently visited the site...seem to recollect two tall red painted with curved tops doors on bank lane entrance and a gas lamp fitment above the opening. Never saw the station (too young!!)just the doors. (or am I imagining things?)Passed here many times - Summer evenings train spotting off park hse bridge and up to the heights for fish shop supper. | Gordw | Wednesday 18th of February 2015 02:03:13 AM |
