| I love this photo..
I served my apprenticeship at Sterling Cable from 1979. Photo doesn't show yet-to-be-built next door neighbour, Lancashire Steel that was ready to be demolished by the '80s! In the far distance, beyond Lodge Lane you can first see the nissen huts and finally the pin is placed at the hangers of RAF Burtonwood. |
