Compare with image EPW026076 dated April 1929, i.e. 20 years earlier. The main lines are now electrified, as are passenger services. Goods are still steam hauled, but the loco shed, turntable and coaling stage have gone. The goods yard has far fewer wagons, possibly indicating the transfer of goods to road haulage, or perhaps it was just a slack day?
