Cross Houses Hospital. Built in 1834 as Atcham Union Workhouse. During the 1914-18 war it became a hospital for wounded soldiers. In 1925 became a General and Maternity Hospital. In 1967 it became a Geriatric Hospital. Later used as offices by Shropshire Area Health Authority. Redeveloped in 2004. http://www.workhouses.org.uk/Atcham/
