Woodbridge Airfield. WW2 emergency landing airfield used by damaged aircraft returning from raids on Europe. When visibility was low petrol was ignited either side of the three runways to disperse the water vapor. Badly damaged machines were bulldozed to the side of the runway to allow following aircraft to land.
