This was the School Sergeant's House. I believe the property came with the job of Caretaker for the school and grounds. From about 1967 to 1972 and likely before and after those years we knew him as Sergeant Dean. An ex military man that barked at most of the kids regularly although was never a teacher. |

We knew this as the 3rd Form Block. Classes 3-1 to 3-5 were housed there for the first year from age 11+. This was the year that Pupils were graded from for the rest of the school class system up to the sixth form. Annually this was 4-1 to 4-5, 5-1 to 5-5 Lower Remove 1-5 (LR-1 to LR-5) [Equating to 1st year - 5th year at the school] |
