Wonderful old poem..Probably written in the sailing ship times maybe? My brother Ray Heddon was once in the Merchant Navy [now he deceiced] Anyone know any names of old seamen I wonder?

My grandmother once lived in Mumbles, so every other weekend I would visit her with some friends too on occasions, my little friends were Sheila Hinds and Billie Williams, anyone know of them from St Thomas? regards Diane.

except when you look at all the ships in the bay, and in the mouth of the river, one thing stands out, Sails and more Sails.

Nice pic, thanks. I see it is signed by the architect Percy Thomas. I guess that must have been an 'artists impression' before it was built, as I see there is no clock, was this there when first built or was it added later?

I think you are right about it being a sketch before the actual build, so I've included a pic of the guildhall 1935.
