A view of the electric supply station (power station), Lower Loveday St/Summer lane, Birmingham. It became a depot for Midlands Electricity Board, part of it being converted to a Training school for the Board, part of it being demolished and rebuilt as Birmingham Area offices for the Board, then the office block taken over by West Midlands Passenger Transport. The Training centre has been demolished now with a block of flats built on the site. Western Power Distribution still retain part of the site as a sub station and depot. |
