Notice that the structure which was destroyed by fire a few years ago is not visible in this shot. The music pavilion as it was originally called became a dance hall and then the Blue Room (an amusement arcade). This structure is helpful when dating photos of the seafront: it was built between 1923-1925. |

To the extreme left can be seen what is now Terminus Road, formerly Victoria Place. The maisonettes, Victoria Mansions, are yet to be built on the western side of the road. |
